What is seva?
Seva is helping another living being or a part of nature with care and selflessness.
Do small acts of seva matter?
Yes. Even a small act of care can make a difference.
Whom can I serve?
You can serve people, animals, birds, plants, and your surroundings.
What are some examples of seva?
Offering food or water, caring for an injured animal, helping someone in need, planting a tree, or protecting a water source.
Does seva have to be religious?
No. Seva begins with compassion and a sincere wish to help.
Should I expect something in return for seva?
Seva is offered selflessly, without expecting a reward or recognition.
Is recording a seva the same as doing seva?
No. Sukrit helps you remember your seva; the act of care itself is the seva.
Why record my seva in Sukrit?
To remember the care you have offered and reflect on the good you do.
Do I need to do something big to begin?
No. Begin with one small act of care, wherever you are.
What if I can't help every day?
Do what you can, when you can. Seva is about sincere care, not pressure.
Do I have to add every seva?
No. Seva is seva even if it is never added here.
Is a photo required?
No.
Wrote something wrong?
You can delete your own entry. Not anyone else’s.
The same act again and again?
Yes. Morning and evening are separate entries.
Who is the greater sevak?
The app does not say.
A photo of an injury?
Do not make the wound the cover. Show the act.
